BatasHub product guide · Updated 21 September 2026

General information, not legal advice. Reading this page does not create a lawyer-client relationship. For advice about your circumstances, talk with a lawyer.

Start with what you want to understand

A useful starting point is a short account in your own words. You do not need to decide which law applies or find the perfect legal term.

Explain what happened, who is involved, and what you would like to understand or achieve. Separate what you know firsthand from what someone else told you.

  • Write a short summary of the issue.
  • List the people and organizations involved for conflict review.
  • Note any date, hearing, notice or response request you are worried about.

Put the events in order

Make a simple timeline with the date, what happened, and the document or message that relates to it. If a date is uncertain, say so.

Mention a time-sensitive concern in your initial request. Submitting a request does not confirm that a lawyer has accepted the work or is monitoring a deadline.

Prepare documents; wait for sharing instructions

Identify the agreements, letters, receipts or messages that may help explain your issue. Keep your originals and use clear filenames for working copies.

BatasHub asks for conflict information before supporting documents. Wait until the assigned professional tells you what to share and where to upload it. During private evaluation, use fabricated information only.

  • List the documents you have and any that are missing.
  • Check that scans or photographs are readable and complete.
  • Keep original files and distinguish them from your notes or edits.

Choose your most useful questions

Put your most pressing questions first so that the consultation has a clear focus. You can ask the lawyer to explain an unfamiliar term or repeat a point.

  • What options should I understand?
  • What information is still missing?
  • What work is included in the proposed engagement?
  • What happens after the consultation, and who is responsible for each next step?

Check your setup before the appointment

Choose a quiet space and test your connection, camera and microphone. Keep your questions and relevant documents within reach.

Check the appointment time and timezone in your workspace. If you need a change, use the available scheduling controls or contact the assigned professional through the matter.

What you can do next

A lawyer can talk with you about your own circumstances. A notary public can witness a document in person.
